The Salvation Army is still in need of volunteers to ring the bells at various locations in Flin Flon through out the Christmas season, as this is one of their biggest fundraisers of the year to provide for the needy.
Captain Mark Burford explains. " We are always looking for people to ring the bells and help the Salvation Army raise money. All this money stays local to help out our Christmas hamper program and lunch program which we run all year. If you would like to give back in this way , what we ask of our volunters is to dress warm because our kettles are outside. Also come prepared to stand for about an hour at our locations around town and to ring the bells and wish people a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays."
The kettles are located at Walmart, The CO-OP and downtown at the RBC. There are plenty of shifts available next weekend and if you would like to volunteer contact Mark at 431-346-5820. They have already reached 26 %of their goal this year hoping to raise $27,000.00.
