The Flin Flon Fire Department is holding its 18th annual Boot Drive Friday to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy programs.  Fire Chief Jim Petrie says the Boot Drive has been extremely successful.  He says last year they collected 11 thousand dollars which was the biggest year they’ve ever had and that was their 17th year.  He says the Boot Drive is successful due to the generosity of the local residents and without the caring of the community nothing is achieved and they also have fun down there collecting for this worthwhile cause.

The Boot Drive runs from nine to five Friday on Third Avenue between Mikes and KFC.  Petrie says you don’t have to give but drive through carefully.
