Saskatchewan RCMP’s Pelican Narrows RCMP and La Ronge Crime Reduction Team (CRT) were conducting proactive patrols in Pelican Narrows on Monday. Officers conducted a traffic stop and observed a loaded magazine in plain view in the vehicle. The three occupants of the vehicle were arrested.

During subsequent searches of one of the arrested individuals and the vehicle, officers located and seized a sawed-off firearm, approximately 21 grams of suspected methamphetamine, approximately three grams of suspected cocaine, a sum of cash and trafficking paraphernalia.

As a result of continued investigation, 23-year-old Jaden Custer from Pelican Narrows is charged with multiple offenses.

Jaden Custer is scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on November 2, 2023

The other occupants of the vehicle were released without charge. Pelican Narrows RCMP and La Ronge CRT continue to investigate.
