City Council Passed A Lot Of Resolutions On Tuesday

The City Of Flin Flon will once again be purchasing a wreath for the 2023 Remembrance Day Service at the Flin Flon Community Hall at a cost of $70.00. The City also made a by-law amendment for structures and building projections into yards replacing the existing front  fence height from 3 to 4 feet every where in the community.

Mayor Fontaine commented that with the change in government in our province he does not anticipate many changes in working with the NDP, and feels the 10 million dollars which was promised by the Conservatives towards the new pool will go ahead.

Councillor’s Alison Dallas and Heather Richardson attended a Arts Council Conference in ST. Johns Newfoundland and said it went very well and will have a report prepared for the next meeting.

The Flin Flon Fire Chief report was provided from August with three incidents including two commercial fire alarms which were false alarms and one structure fire in the community. Training was also  provided for wildfire training with large pump equipment.
