On October 10, 2023, at approximately 12:40 pm, RCMP responded to a fight in a field near Smith Avenue, in The Pas. It was reported that several males, one in possession of a knife, were assaulting a youth by kicking and punching him.

 

Officers responded within minutes but when they arrived the suspects had fled. The victim, a 14-year-old male youth was located and taken to hospital with minor injuries.

 

Four male suspects were involved and RCMP have identified three of them.

 

Three male youths, two aged 13 and one 12, were arrested and are facing a charge of Assault. They were released from custody on conditions and are scheduled to appear in court on January 9, 2024.

 

RCMP continue to investigate and anticipate further charges.
