There was a special gathering on Thursday afternoon at Aurora and Pine on Flin Flon’s Main street to unveil a special mural on their outside wall.

The Pineroot Mural Festival unveiled their fourth mural in our community and was painted by Mike Spencer who is the Technical and Artistic Director of the organization and is very happy with how the painting turned out.

" Well it's a been a long time coming this mural, it is something I have been working on and off on  throughout the winter and there has been some setbacks that have happened here and there. It has been a rewarding experience to see it up and completed. As for the inspiration for it,  there is a lot of reference material I took from our landscape, there is some culinary references thinking about this is a restauant that we are putting this on. Beyond that I wanted something vibrant and colorful."

The other murals which are displayed around the community include the Pumphouse, the walkway on Main,  Arctic Beverages and the Raven on the perimeter highway. Pineroot Mural would like to thank McMunn and Yates and the City Of Flin Flon for their donations and will be unveiling another mural in The Pas very soon.
