The Flin Flon Creighton area SPCA stopped by 102.9 CFAR this past Thursday and Friday for a special pledge show to raise funds for new kennels and food and toys for their shelter.
SPCA President Heather Richardson was blown away with the great support they received from the community.
" It was absolutely amazing, the first day we did $4,140.00 and today we did an additional $2,625.00 for a total of $6,765.00 and it was amazing as were able to get the word out there. We got to talk about the animals and got to talk about a lot of what go's on at the SPCA. We also got to talk about some of our other fundraisers and I think we really got the word out there and the community came out and donated a lot more than any of us were expecting."
