Our MLA Is Preparing For The Fall Election

Manitoba is expected to go to the polls October the 3rd in what many people are expecting to be a very close race between the Progressive Conservatives and NDP.

Our local MLA, Tom Lindsay tells us what some of the biggest issues are among Manitoban’s heading into the fall election.

" Well I certainly think one of the big issues that affects us in the North as much as anybody is health care. We don't have doctors and nurses any more and Health Care Center's are shutting down. Flin Flon is a liitle more than a holding center. That will be one of the big issues for us and I think affordibility is going to be an issue. Things like hydro and how does this affect us in the North from other people in the province. Winnipeg has natural gas and we don't have that option. Some of the things they are talking about with hydro and surge pricing will affect us worse because we don't have a choice. Education,  we saw what happened with bill 64 and they tried to do away with elected school boards."

If you have a particular issue you can stop by Tom Lindsay’s constituency off, Monday through Friday 9 to 4 or call 204-687-3246.
