Early Detection is Available in Our Community

Sask Cancer is bringing their mobile mammogram bus to Creighton next month. This intended for Saskatchewan residents only. It’s an opportunity to get screened without a health care provider referral. Laurie Pearce, early detection director of Sask Cancer tells us more.

“The mobile bus is part of the screening for breast cancer in the province (of Saskatchewan). It’s for women 50 years of age and older that are not experiencing any breast health concerns. They are welcome to call and book an appointment on the bus. Our bus actually travels to 42 communities across Saskatchewan. And we do encourage women to make book while it is in their community so that they don’t have to travel a great distance to get a screening.”

The mobile mammogram bus will be located in the Creighton Sportex parking lot August 21 to September 1. Appointments are now open. Please book a time as soon as possible by calling 1-855-584-8228
