The Manitoba Vaccine Implementation Task Force Co-Lead Johanu Botha has announced people will soon be booking second dose appointments for the vaccine.  He explains they’re aiming to have the first group of people call or book online starting May 22nd to make appointments for their second shots. He adds the second doses will be going into arms no later than mid-June and if they have contact information for people they will be reaching out to you directly by text, email or phone to let you know when you can book your second dose.

Individuals who are immune compromised or have prioritized health conditions will be able to book first with more details being provided in the coming days. They are reviewing the recommendation of opening the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for children as young as 12.
