Reported Variants of Concern Cases are Spread Across Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan public health reported 264 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon bringing the seven day average of new cases to 241.  They also reported four new deaths with one each in Regina, Far North East, South Central and a residence pending.  Of the new cases 79 are in Regina, 63 in Saskatoon, 25 in South East and 24 in North West with numbers in the teens in other zones.  Of the total 41,098 reported cases 2426 are considered active and 38,181 people have recovered. As of Thursday reported variants of concern are at 6794 with the highest numbers in Regina with 3717, Saskatoon at 765, South East 700, South Central 510, Central East 296 and North West 203 with lower numbers in other zones including three in Far North East.

             

81 percent of Saskatchewan residents over age 60, 61 percent of those 40 plus and 41 percent of those 18 plus have received their first dose of vaccine.
