Students are Back to School Activities Following the Christmas Break.

The Flin Flon School Board held their regular meeting Tuesday night. Board Chair Murray Skeavington welcomed everyone back from a restful break and mentioned students in grades 7 to 12 are scheduled to return to in class learning on January the 18th.

In school news parents who are opting for remote learning in kindergarten through grade 8 will be asked to commit to it until Spring Break. Prior to Spring Break they will evaluate whether to continue to offer remote learning for the remainder of the school year.

Ruth Betts School is excited about a new t-shirt design that has been added for Pink Shirt Day, an Indigenous pink shirt.  Ruth Betts is putting in a staff order in February so they will have them in time for April.

McIsaac school is reporting the grade 7 and 8 students are doing extremely well with remote learning and have been actively participating in online sessions.

Hapnot will hold their first set of exams January the 26th through the 28th and parents are asked to check the Hapnot web-site for the dates your child will be writing.

Many Faces reported their interactive events with Reel Canada went well. They were physically distanced for two sessions in the gym. Food was served to their seat as students watched the documentaries and met interactively with the producers of the documentaries. Supplementary lessons spilled over into the classroom after and Reel Canada has provided pathways for students interested in acting, directing or producing.
