A Change Has Been Made in the Manitoba School Bus Mask Policy.

Manitoba Public Health announced this afternoon 18 new cases of COVID-19.  Seven cases are in the Prairie Mountain health region, nine in the Winnipeg health region and two in the Southern health region.  That brings the total number of reported cases to 1232, 459 cases are active and759 individuals have recovered.

Public Health also reported masks will be required on all school buses as passengers may be in close proximity for extended periods of time with no ability to physically distance from each other.  This is a change from previous requirements which only applied to grade four and above. It includes drivers, students and any other passengers on the bus. As well all visitors arriving at health care facilities are now required to wear a non-medical mask.

Saskatchewan reported this afternoon three new cases of COVID-19.  There was one in the North Central zone, one in the Saskatoon zone and the location of the third case is pending. That brings the total number of reported cases to 1622 with 31 considered active, 1567 people have recovered and three are in hospital.  To date almost 141 thousand COVID-19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan.
