The fifth annual Jack Streitle Memorial Family Fishing Derby is being held at Denare Beach Saturday afternoon.  One of the organizers Christy Wasyliuk says they are offering a lot of prizes with the first, second and third place for the fish caught being cash prizes based on entry fees and what they got as sponsorship donations. She adds they usually have a pretty good variety of raffle prizes that they have at the end of the fishing derby and they have prizes for the oldest fisheman and fisherwoman and youngest fisherman boy and girl.

              They also have a loonie bucket for the first fish caught.

              The fishing derby is being held in the bay at Angell’s Marina at Denare Beach.  Registration for five dollars begins at 1 Saturday afternoon with fishing from 2 to 4.
