There Were no New Cases of COVID-19 reported in Manitoba and Some Travel Restrictions are Lifted in Saskatchewan.

After going since last Wednesday with no new cases and one reported Monday Manitoba Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin announced the latest COVID-19 numbers this afternoon.  He reported no new cases, the total number of cases remains at 290, one individual is hospitalized and there are no patients in ICU, 257 individuals are listed as recovered and there are 26 active cases.

With the one new low risk case reported Monday in a retail outlet in Winnipeg Roussin again reminds you we must be sure we are not out in public if we are ill and we must also continue social distancing.

Saskatchewan reported seven new confirmed cases bringing the provincial total to 599 with four of the cases in Beauval and three in La Loche, 123 cases are considered active and fifteen more people have recovered bringing that total to 470.  As the risk of transmission has regionalized in the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District the public health order has been amended to only have travel restrictions applied to the northwest region.  You can find the list of communities still affected in the public health order at www.saskatchewan.ca/covid19.
