A Proclamation and Correspondence Highlighted Last Nights Flin Flon City Council Meeting.

Mayor Cal Huntley officially proclaimed the week of August 16th to 23rd as Flin Flon Pride Week commending its thoughtful observation to all citizens of our community.

             

Council received a report from Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers thanking them for their annual contribution to their program. To date they reported approximately 18 million dollars in goods, property and drugs have been recovered due to this program.

             

The Border Explorers Snowmobile Club advised they will be running their annual trail maps this coming winter which will be free to all snowmobilers in the area. Council referred their request to purchase advertising to the Finance Committee.

             

Councilor Ken Pawlachuk reported the Flin Flon Neighborhood Revitalization Corporation’s Flower Power event was well attended on Saturday at Pioneer Square and he thanked the Recreation Department and Tourist Bureau Campground staff for all the work and assistance they provide in preparing for the Blueberry Jam Music gathering coming up in the Campground in August.
