The Women’s Resource Center held a fund raising event Friday call Walk A Mile in Her Shoes with male volunteers collecting pledges and then walking in red high heels.  Executive Director Colleen Arnold says it raised awareness on violence against women and girls as well as money.  She says they had 16 walkers and they were all great, they had a fantastic response from the community in donations for the walkers, they saw some new faces and they got a lot more people with the information so it was fantastic. She adds the men raised almost four thousand dollars.

The trophy for the most pledges collected went to Greg Bauman for raising 700 dollars.  The money raised will support the Women’s Safe Haven.
