A Student Received A Citizenship Award of Merit.

At the Flin Flon School Board meeting Monday night Kari Rutherford received a Certificate of Merit from the Manitoba School Board Association.  She was this Division’s nominee for the Student Citizenship Award and received a Certificate of Merit along with a cash award in recognition of her accomplishment.  A letter from the Association states Kari is an asset to her community and a fine example of the extraordinary students in Manitoba’s Schools.

Superintendent Blaine Veitch reported to the Board the Baptist Church has started their free lunch program on Thursdays at St. Ann’s Church at noon.  He says this has been a very popular program for Hapnot and Many Faces students.  He also thanked Manitoba Natural Resources and the Walleye Anglers Association for their donation of fishing equipment to be used by students as part of their Camp Whitney experience.

And the Board approved the Hapnot Travel Club’s trip to the Netherlands in 2017.
