This is walk to school week.  School Superintendent Blaine Veitch says it’s an international week that’s set aside to recognize and encourage youth to use personal motion to get to school everyday so it’s things like riding a bike, skateboard or walking and he says he has seen a number of students and their parents walking to school.

Veitch says the schools in our Division notified parents of the week and encouraged students to take part.
