102-9 CFAR’s Raphael Saray returned to Winnipeg this week to produce a performance at the Winnipeg Fringe Festival, the second largest Fringe Festival in the world. Saray says the play is called XHL and it’s a play he wrote here this winter and sent to his company in Winnipeg. He explains it’s about a natural resource boom that comes to Manitoba and they decide to use that to start their own rival professional hockey league and hilarity ensues.
Saray adds there will be eight performances of the play at the Royal Manitoba Theatre Center’s main stage in the John Hirsch Theatre from now until July 27th.
