Selects Back In The Win Column

It was a showdown for second overall in the KJHL last night as the PBCN Selects made their way to Nelson House to play the Flames.

 

In a game that went back and forth the Selects picked up the 7 to 5 win.

 

Dion Fontaine led the way with a pair of goals with Kobe Tanuak, Laryn Chaboyer, Israel Maktar and Bryson Francoeur also finding the back of the net. Francouer was able to get his first of the season.

 

Odin Church was back between the pipes and made 17 saves on 22 shots and also picked up an assist on the first goal of the game.

 

PBCN'S penalty kill was very good and was able to kill of 8 of the 11 Flames powerplays.

 

PBCN takes over sole possession of second place and will improve to 20-9 which is a franchise record for wins in a season. The Flames drop to 19-9-0-1.

 

The rematch will take place at the Whitney Forum this Saturday at 7:30.
