Queens Win The Border Bash

It was a good start to the new year for the Senior Hapnot Queens who dominated the competition this past weekend at the Border Bash Basketball Tournament in Creighton.

 

The Queens went 2-0 in the round robin with victories over the Pas and Cranberry. They then beat Creighton 49 to 30 in the Semi's.

 

Hapnot then took it to Preeceville in the final 59 to 30 to win the tournament and finished undefeated.

 

The Creighton Kodiak's were 1-1 in the round robin losing to Preeceville and beating Hudson Bay before eventually losing to Hapnot in the semi's.

 

MBCI out of the Pas beat Hudson Bay 32 to 29 to finish third in the pool.

 

Hapnot will be hosting the Kopper Crown Classic this weekend which will feature 12 teams from all over Manitoba and Saskatchewan for both boys and girls. Action will start Friday morning.
