A great start to the high school basketball season as the Hapnot Queens won the Bill McDonald Classic in The Pas this past weekend.

The Queens went undefeated in the round robin and followed that up with a solid  playoff round beating Creighton 57 to 34 in the Semi's. In the Gold medal game the Queens battled from behind and beat RD Parker out of Thompson 40 to 34 to win the Championship.

The Kings went 2-1 in the round robin and beat ED Parker in the playoff round 65 to 57 to get to the Consolation Final.

Hapnot held off Creighton 67 to 62 to win the Consolation Final.

Both teams will be in action this Wednesday at the Kings will play the Kodiaks in Creighton  at 6pm followed by the Queens VS Kodiak girls  at 7:30 to head into the Christmas break.
