Selects Split With Flames To Open The Season

The PBCN  Selects hosted the NCN Flames in a pair of games this past weekend to open the Keystone Junior B Hockey League at the Whitney Forum.

On Saturday the Selects fired 50  shots at Ayden Biswanger and he stood on his head stopping everything in sight and was certainly the difference in the game as the Flames hung on for a 1-0 win.

Odin Church started for the Selects and gave up just one goal on 22 shots.

Sunday afternoon was a different story as there was plenty of offense as the Selects erupted for a 9 to 7 win.

Kobe Tanuyak hat the hot hand and led the way with 4 goals with singles coming from Owen Angooteaulk, Carson Ledoux, Mikah Emiktowt, Kaden Eetuk and Mathis Bacon Labbe.

16 year Old Logan Grenier got the start in goal and gave up 7 goals on 23 shots while the Selects fired another 50 at Ayden Biswanger.

The Selects will hit the ice just once this week as they travel to OCN to face the Storm on Saturday night 7 :30 at the GLMC.

OCN is 2-0 to start the year while the Selects improve to 1-1.
