Bombers Trade For Offensive Forward

After starting the season 1-0-1, the Flin Flon Bombers announced a major trade today that they have picked up the offensive gifted Ashton Paul from the Blizzard of the MJHL.

Paul was just released from Wenatchee of the WHL, and the Blizzard had his junior A  rights which they flipped to the Bombers for a PDF.

Paul could be just what the Bombers need as he was pretty much a point a game player in the MJHL with 56 points in 57 games last year including 26 goals.

He should also help stabilize the powerplay which is 0 for 13 to start the season.

Head Coach and GM, Mike Reagan  says this is a major pickup. " We are excited about it for many different reasons. Ashton is a kid that I have known through the conditioning camp at the hockey school, he is a northern boy who understands what our organization is all about and the history and tradition. He brings size, skill, he can skate , it is an exciting time for us. I know Ashton has wanted to be a part of this for some time , it is a good marriage."

Paul is in town and will skate with the team today and will be in iniform against Laronge this weekend.
