Selects Hire Cote For Director Of Scouting

The PBCN Selects have been very busy putting together their Hockey Operations Staff for the 2023-24 season. After finalizing their Coaching Staff earlier this month the Selects have hired a new Director of Scouting.

Nelson Cote has agreed to take on the role for the coming season with an option for 2024-25. Cote a former Assistant Coach with the OCN Storm, has had his finger on the pulse of Manitoba hockey over the past six years. His son Ashton just finished his second full season with the OCN Blizzard of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.

Cote has Coached, Played and instructed at many levels of hockey over the past 25 years. Cote will be attending many tournaments and showcases over the next 4 months on behalf of the Selects.

“Nelson is a very knowledgeable and organized individual, I fully trust him in his ability to identify talent and look forward to working with him and his scouting staff this year.” Said GM Gatlin Church.

With the addition of Cote, the Selects feel they added another piece to putting together a championship caliber team.

Training Camp is planned for early September, if any players are interested in trying out, reach Nelson at nelson.cote@outlook.com
