It wasn't the home opener weekend the Norman Northstars were hoping for in dropping a pair of games against the Winnipeg Bruins, by scores of 8 to 3 and 7 to 2.

Winnipeg was able to come out and build big leads in both games by giving them selves a 5 goal lead Saturday and a quick 2-0 lead Sunday.

Flin Flon's Rylan Potkonjak started yesterday stopping 53 out of 60 Winnipeg shots and Jordan Pfoh added one assist in the two games.

Norman falls to 0 and 5 on the season and will stay at home and  host Pembina Valley this Saturday and Sunday.
