Kodiaks Rebound With A Win

The Creighton Kodiaks 6  man football team got back in the win column with a 50-6 victory yesterday over Beauval at the Creighton Football field.

Creighton was able to shake off last week's loss against Cumberland House and got a complete team effort in their final regular season home game.

Kaylab Ranks who got back in the lineup for the first time since the season opener due to injury, led the way with a couple of rushing touch downs.

Jaron McDermott also scored two touchdowns including a 15 yard pass from Bailey Eastman,  with the other touchdowns coming from Linden Moore on an interception and Blake Alexander on a third down gamble.

Alexander had another strong day kicking the ball with two singles and six converts.

The Kodiaks improve to 3-1 and clinch a playoff spot and will now close out the regular season in Laronge against SMVS on Monday October the 16th.

Not only has SMVS not picked up a win this season they have yet to score a point, but Creighton will not take anything for granted.

Other scores from last night's Northern Saskatchewan Football league included Cumberland House over SMVS 66-0, and Sandy Bay beat Pinehouse 55-52.
