The Women’s Resource Center held an International Day of Pink event in front of city hall yesterday afternoon. Their Youth Worker Jordana Ifergan told those attending the message of the day is bullying can affect us all. She says anyone can be a bully and anyone can be victimized by a bully but together we can help stop it. She explained each year on the second Wednesday of April millions of people dress in pink and gather together to remember that positive actions can and do make a difference, adding the Day of Pink is more than just accepting and celebrating diversity but a commitment to being open minded to accepting differences and learning ways in which you can respect one another.
The event also included a trivia contest on bullying and entertainment.
