Flin Flon Minor Hockey is getting set to host their first big event of the season, with the annual Mel Pearson Memorial Novice Tournament hitting the Sportex and Whitney Forum this weekend.

Scott Eastman the Novice co-ordinater has confirmed 14 teams from: Flin Flon, The Pas,OCN, Swan River, Thompson, Norway House and Gillam.

All the action starts this Friday at 1:00 when the Flin Flon Mckeens battle The Pas Red at the Sportex. The first game at the Whitney Forum is this Friday 1:30 between Flin Flon Reliance and The Pas White.
