The Norman Northstars have their first win of the season after splitting a pair of games with the Interlake Lightning this past weekend in Thompson.

Norman goaltender Luke Penner from the Pas was the difference in the win Saturday turning back 49 out of 50 shots as the Northstars won in over time 2-1. Cross Lake's Tyrell Armstrong scored both of Norman's goals.

Interlake took the game Sunday 4-2.

Norman's record stands at 1-8, and their homestand will continue this weekend against the Eastman Selects.
