It was a great effort by the Senior Hapnot Queens who were representing the Northern region at Basketball Provincials in Dominion City over the weekend.

The Queens beat Killarney 52-46 and Gimli 54-42 to reach the final.

It looked like the Queens may take their first ever Provincial Basketball title, but came up a bucket short losing to Warren 45-43.

This will end one of the best Queen's basketball seasons in recent memory.

FCI out of Cranberry represented the boys and started well beating Green Valley 71-60 to kick off the tournament.

They lost to Niverville 100-50 in the Semi, before dropping an 84-80 game to Macgregor to finish fourth overall.
