Even though the Bombers dropped a 5-3 decision to the Estevan Bruins on Saturday it was still a very successful road trip.

Flin Flon will come home with 5 out of a possible 8 points and are holding on to 9th spot with two more games remaining on the season.

No game was bigger than the Bombers beating Melville 4-3 in OT on Wednesday, as they lead the Mills by 2 points with both teams playing 56 games.

I think Flin Flon ran out of gas in Estevan,  as it was their fouth game in five nights and they really take their toll on you especially at this time of year.

Goals came from Marchi, Daniels and Boots. The Bombers were heavilly out shot 47-34 and Brenden Newton once again kept his team in the game.

Flin Flon still doesn't know who they are going to play in the Survivor Series as Kindersley has 63 points, Weyburn 62 and Notre Dame 61. The Klippers are in the drivers seat with two games remaing while the Wings and Hounds just have one.

The Bombers will finsh up with two games at home including Melfort on Tuesday and Laronge on Friday.

102.9 CFAR will broadcast the last game of the regular season against Laronge and all Bomber playoff games including the Survivor Series which could start as early as Sunday. We will have more information later in the week.
