After suffering a 10-1 setback against the Kenora Thistles on Friday night, it was gut check time for the Norman Northstars on Saturday.

Norman responded with a 5-4 shoot out win in the rematch on Saturday. Thompson's Keistin Saunders scored the shoot out winner on Norman's first shot.

Flin Flon's Mitchell Reid had one assist in the game and Keian Weseen made 44 saves including all three in the shootout to preserve the win.

This is the Northstars second win of the season and Norman will get a three week break before their next game, January the 5th and 6th against Pembina Valley.
