Kodiaks Close Out Regular Season With Win

The Creighton Kodiaks closed out the regular season of the Northern Saskatchewan Football League with a win in Laronge yesterday afternoon.

The Kodiaks beat SMVS by a score of 49-6 to finish the regular season at 4-1.

Shawn Francois was back in the lineup and scored four touchdowns to lead the way offensively, with Bailey Eastman adding two.

Jaron McDermott added a rushing TD and Noah Dickens took an interception back for six.

This was a huge win for Creighton who will once again find themselves in Prince Albert for the Ralph Pilz Championship game after a one year absence.

The Kodiaks finish second at 4-1 and will play the top ranked team from Cumberland House who finished the season at 5-0.

Cumberland House handed Creighton their only loss in the regular season 64-22 back on September the 28th.

The Kodiaks have their full lineup back together and are looking forward to the rematch at the Max Clunie Field in PA this Saturday with kickoff at 2PM Sask time.

Creighton won the Ralph Pilz championship their first two years in the league in 2014 and 2015.
