5 Goals Not Enough

It was a goaltending performance for the ages.

Allan Knoli out of Winnipeg stopped 68 out of 73 shots and was the biggest reason why Norman picked up their first point of the season losing to the tough Winnipeg Wild 6-5 in a shoot out Saturday night in Thompson.

Norman battled all night and tied the game with only 47 seconds remaining in the third period to get the game to OT.

The extra 5 minute session settled nothing and the game was decided in the shootout, with the Wild scoring twice to win it.

Flin Flon's Ethan Stuckless continued his good season scoring a pair of goals.

Norman lost 5-0 on Sunday.

After the weekend the Northstars record sits at: 0-6-0-1 and will hit the road for 4 games starting Thursday in Pembina Valley.
