The Hapnot Kings and Queens were in Winkler this past weekend for Soccer Provincials. Both teams had impressive weekends.

The Queens knocked off Dauphin and Winkler to make the semi final before losing to the no.2 team in the province Minnedosa.

The Queens tried to play through some injuries and fatigue caught up to them losing to Dauphin in the rematch 5-1 in the Consolation final.

The Kings which got the final wild card pulled the upset and beat Birtle in their first game 6-1. The Kings then lost lost a tight game to the no.1 team in Manitoba Garden Valley 3-0.

The Kings then lost the semi-final to no.4 ranked Macgregor 4-0.

This ends a great season for this soccer program which saw the Queens finish the season at 14-2 and pick up their 11th straight Zone title.

The Kings continued to improve all year with a young team and they were able to qualify for Provincials for the 8th time in 9 years.

Both these teams should be strong for many years to come.
