The Hapnot Kings and Queens both played their best basketball so far this season this past weekend in Thompson at Pre- Zones.

Both Tony Ticzon and Don Dyke told me that both teams really came together and played great defense, and a number of players on both teams really stepped up their game.

The Kings finished 3-1 with wins over The Pas, Cross Lake and Norway House. Their lone loss came to Thompson 75-64 and  the Kings continue to get stronger every weekend.

The Queens also finished 3-1 with wins over Norway House, The Pas and Cross Lake. Their lone loss also came to Thompson who are ranked no.1 in the province.

Both squads will get a really good tuneup Feb the 5th and 6th in Winnipeg at the Transcona Invitational, where they will get to play all the top ranked teams in the South.

Flin Flon will host Zones March the 4th and 5th at Hapnot.
