Wolves Host Hawks

The Norman Wolves AAA Bantam team played a pair of games this weekend in both Flin Flon and Creighton hosting the Pembina Valley Hawks.

Players are from all over Northern Manitoba including Churchill, Gillam, The Pas, Thompson and Flin Flon.

The four players rom Flin Flon include: goalie- Rylan Potkonjak, forward Jonah Winton and defensemen Tanner Dutcawich and Sean Yaworski.

The Hawks took both games by scores of 12-2 and 7-3. The Wolves played much better Sunday and actually led at one point 3-1.

Assistant Coach Rob Winton says it is a challenge to build this team with kids having to travel from all different areas. " With the Norman team we have kids from the Pas, Churchill and all over the place. We are covering a vast area, the kids are working very hard, and we come from a lot of backgrounds including our skills and abilities. We are going to build a team then work on those skill sets. As you saw today was better, we are getting closer and weekend by weekend it is a big step in the right direction."

The Wolves will get a chance tp practise in Thompson this weekend and then they will host the Brandon Wheat Kings November the 21-22 in Thompson.

Next action in Flin Flon will be December the 12th and 13th against the Winnipeg Hawks.
