Close But No Cigar

The Norman Northstars spotted the Winnipeg Thrashers 4 goals yesterday, before mounting a comeback that fell short.

Norman fought back to make it 5-3 in the third before the Thrashers put it away 6-3 midway through the period.  Evan Lutz scored one more late goal for the Northstars to make it a little more respectable with a 6-4 final.

Bryce Horning scored his 18th of the season in a losing cause and Daylon Campbell from the Pas added a pair .

After the weekend Norman is still looking for their first home win of the season and fall to a record of 2-19.

Next action will be this weekend when Central Plains venture up north for a pair of games Saturday and Sunday.
