Home And Home With The Hawks

The SJHL/MJHL Showcase has wrapped up in Regina and the SJHL regular season will resume tonight with 10 teams back in action.

One of the match ups will feature an all Sherwood battle between the Flin Flon Bombers and Nipawin Hawks.

Flin Flon has won all 4 meetings this year including a 4 to 3 OT win at the Cage last Friday.

Tristan Lemyre led the way with 3 points including the winning goal in OT, on a nice set up from Zach Bannister.

Lemyre is the hottest Bomber coming into action tonight as he has registered 29 points in his last 15 games and has just picked up another SJHL Rookie Of The Week Award.

He also picked up 4 points in two games at the recent Showcase in Regina.

Jacob Delorme seems to of found his groove between the pipes and is second in the league with wins at 18.

Delorme is 3-1 in his last 4 starts with a 1.96 gaa and a save % of .946, to go along with his first career shut out.

The Bombers as a hole, are locked into a good spot right now at 26-9-5 which is tops in the Sherwood and second overall.

Flin Flon lead Melfort and Laronge by 6 points and the Hawks by 8 points.

The team they are really concerned with right now is the Yorkton Terriers who are just one point behind the Bombers for second overall.

The Bombers do have 7 games in hand.

If the Hawks are going to have any chance of catching Flin Flon they will need to get some points this weekend.

The first game is set to hit the Whitney Forum tonight with the rematch and final regular season meeting at the Cage tomorrow.

102.9 CFAR and flinflononline.com will have tomorrow's match up from the Cage with the Great North GM Coach's Show at 7:10 and drop of the puck at 7:30.
