Good Effort Falls Short

The Norman Northstars were in action this past weekend with a couple of games against the Southwest Cougars.

After a 4 to 0 loss on Saturday, Norman came out with a gutsy effort on Sunday afternoon.

Norman took a 4 to 2 lead into the third period but couldn't hang on and ended up losing 6 to 5.

It was a good afternoon for the Pas's Branden Hill who had two goals and an assist. Ryan Monias from Thompson chipped in with a goal and two assists.

Flin Flon's Derek Koivisto also scored his fourth of the season.

Norman will drop to 0-18-0-1 and hit the road for three games starting Friday against Eastman.

The Werbicki Trucking Bantam AA Bombers were in Lac du Bonnet this past weekend and dropped all three of their games to the Pembina Rockets 6 to 2, Pembina Flyers 6 to 1 and 7 to 1 against the Northern Knights.
