Bombers Host Wings

The Flin Flon Bombers will try to snap a two game losing streak on home ice tonight, when they welcome the Weyburn Red Wings to town.

Weyburn come reeling into town after getting blown out 9-1 last night in Melfort and are really struggling, barely hanging on to the last overall playoff spot.

The Wings are tied with Melville with 20 points, but do have two games in hand. Their 73 goals for,  are also the fourth worst in the league.

Flin Flon leads the season series 2 games to none including a 7-4 win at the Forum on October the 26th. You don't want to say this is a must win game, but you need to beat the teams lower than you in the standings.

The Bombers are starting to lose ground in the very competitive Sherwood Division and find themselves 9 points behind the Melfort Mustangs and 7 behind second place Nipawin.

The Maroon and White continue to have the league's most potent offense with 112 goals in 25 games, along with Melfort who also have 112 in 27 games.

Brandson Hein and Nate Hooper continue to lead the charge offensively, sitting second and 5th in overall scoring. Hein has 43 points in 25 games and Hooper has 40 points in 25 games.

Hooper also leads the league in assists with 28. A healty Caleb Moretz should help out offensively as well,  as he missed over a month with a lower body injury. He was one of the top point getters across the league before getting hurt in October.

Game time tonight is 7:30 and there will be no broadcast, but we are back on the air this Friday against Estevan.

Don't forget it is a special game with a  tribute to long time supporter and " SUPER FAN Johny Dougall". Get there early for a ceremony before the game.
