People interested in the history of Manitoba can receive a special award

The Manitoba Historical Society is accepting nominations for the Lieutenant Governor’s Award recognizing people involved in the preservation and promotion of the province’s history.  The Society’s Gordon Goldsborough says nominations are open to anyone.  In fact he says they are hoping to get a wide range of people who have worked in local museums, people that have been advocates in preserving local history or even people who have helped to write local history books, anything that is in some way connected to the promotion and preservation of our history.

Nomination forms are available at their website www.mhs.mb.ca.  Nominations close on February 28th.
