Grants are available for community projects

The Northern Neighbors Foundation provides citizens of Flin Flon, Cranberry Portage, Snow Lake and Sherridon with the opportunity to invest in the future of their communities.  The Foundation’s Dave Kendall says they are now accepting applications for grants with a substantial amount of funds available to groups within these communities.  He explains they have put their money into the Winnipeg Foundation to be entrusted by them and they pay out a couple of times a year with the interest from the money they’ve put in so they have those funds.  He adds they also have funds from the Moffat Family Foundation and those dollars come in once a year and the new exciting one is through Hapnot Collegiate and their Youth Enterprise and the youth in Hapnot are going to be looking for charities to donate to.

The deadline for applications is March 15th with forms available from Betty at 687-5715 or 687-4453.
