The Flin Flon Lions Club has teamed up with the Flin Flon Ski Club to provide winter access to the boardwalk. Funds from the Flinty Committee are being used to assist the ski club as they have the expertise and equipment to create a walkable path.

Dave Price says the ski club go's out periodically with their equipment that they use for grooming ski trails and they pack and even out the boardwalk trail. He says normally it would not take that long, but with all the snow lately it has been quite the challenge to get through some areas.

The ski club has completed seven sessions of clearance so far throughout the winter and have got a very good response from the community and encourage people to use the space.
