Shortly after 6 Sunday evening Pukatawagan RCMP received a report from the nursing station that a female had been brought in unresponsive with life threatening injuries. Initial investigation reveals a 22 year old female from Pukatwagan was in a group traveling through the community. She was traveling on the back of a snowmobile when she fell off and was struck by a quad that was following close behind. She was transported to the nursing station where she was pronounced deceased.
RCMP report she was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
An RCMP traffic reconstructionist is assisting with the investigation as both speed and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors.
