The Flin Flon Recycling Center’s Administrator Deb Odegaard has announced an increase in the fee for red bag curbside recycling.  She says the cost of the red bags which is really the fees for the service is going up because they need to cover their increasing costs and make sure it’s covering all the costs that they have.  She says its going up from 2.50 to 3.50 for the red bag that people place on the curb and then they can put out two more bags or boxes with the red bag.  She notes this is the first increase since they started the program in 2010.

Pick up is in Uptown Flin Flon and Creighton on the first and third Wednesday of each month and for East Flin Flon and Channing the second and fourth Wednesday of each month.  Red bags can be purchased at the Gas Bar, Acklands, Di’s Confectionary, Super K and at the Recycling Center.  Recyclable material can also be dropped off at the Recycling Center at 9 Timber Lane.
