Operation Red Nose operated across the province through the holiday season and over 39 hundred people in 11 communities use the service.  The President of Safety Services Manitoba Judy Murphy says the success of the program depends on the work done by local hosts and volunteers noting over the season 2319 volunteers gave 3923 rides across the province raising almost 77 thousand dollars for youth sports programs.  She added The Pas had the greatest increase in rides with 503 which is 162 more than last year.

As we reported earlier Flin Flon had 223 rides provided by 135 volunteers raising almost 35 hundred dollars in donations from riders.
