In spite of the cold weather volunteers were again out on the weekend

Operation Red Nose has completed another weekend of getting people and their vehicles home safely.  The Rotary Club’s Committee Co-chair Ted Hewitt says their volunteers again braved the cold.  He reports this past weekend was their fifth for Operation Red Nose this year and it again was a good weekend.  He says between Friday and Saturday nights they provided a total of 24 rides even though both nights were very cold, in the minus 30 to minus 40 range. Hewitt thanks all those who volunteered from within the community from Denare Beach to Bakers Narrows.

Operation Red Nose will be available tonight which is New Year’s Eve and Hewitt expects it to be very busy as in past years.  If you can help out you can call Ted at 204-687-7450.
